Hello, my name is Okine Godwin Nii-Armah from Accra, Ghana. I’m a level 300 student studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and it’s such a pleasure for me to join this Social Justice course.
Social Justice is I believe the level of equity within a society in the distribution of resources and other amenities. In high existence it levels the playing field for all people regardless of flimsy demographics which are always the basis for social injustices. Social Justice is a commodity I think is in low quantity in Ghana and needs to be encouraged to a whole new level and few people are quite as equipped to carry that out as journalists are. I believe a higher level of Social Justice would work wonders for this country and might serve as the precursor to the development we have craved for so long.
